Al-Futtaim Group Real Estate has announced a partnership with Berlin-based TIER Mobility to operate e-bike micro-mobility services in Dubai Festival CityThe collaboration aims to make movement throughout the area more convenient and affordable, as well as to provide a more environmentally friendly mode of transportation to and from the destination and community.

TIER’s collaboration with the RTA has been critical to establishing its market position and has helped solidify TIER’s commitment to ensuring a liveable and safe future for current and future generations. The e-scooters are only available in the most advanced model, the TIER 5, which has advanced safety features such as three independent brakes, grippy handlebars.

TIER debuted its services in Bahrain over six months ago, and demand for shared micro-mobility services increased since then. In the future, the German company hopes to deliver its latest generation of e-bikes to Manama.

The new scooter model is designed for frequent urban use and has a 5-year service life, but it practically has an indefinite lifespan due to its modular, interchangeable, and repairable components. Three advanced safety features are three separate brakes, gripping handlebars, wide, huge tyres, and an especially bright light. Turn indicators provide 360° visibility and guarantee safe intended actions.
