Ericsson’s collaboration with Dubai has taken a new step forward after Ericsson and Dubai Digital Authority signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore digital initiatives that support Dubai’s digital ambitions.

The announcement was made during a strategic visit to Ericsson’s Imagine Studio by a high-level UAE delegation representing government, healthcare, public safety, digital transformation, education, and community development entities.

The MoU was signed by Petra Schirren, President of Ericsson Gulf, and Matar Al Hemeiri, Chief Executive Officer of the Digital Dubai Government Establishment. The signing took place in the presence of Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of the Dubai Culture & Arts Authority.

The agreement establishes a framework for collaboration on next-generation initiatives aimed at enhancing public services, driving innovation, and supporting Dubai’s digital ambitions.

Furthermore, the collaboration builds on discussions held during the delegation’s visit to Ericsson’s Imagine Studio. It translates shared priorities around advanced connectivity, AI-enabled city operations, and digital inclusion into a roadmap for future cooperation.

As part of the initiative, Ericsson Dubai and Dubai Digital Authority will explore use cases across public services, public safety, AI-enabled city operations, and digital inclusion.

In addition, the collaboration will examine programs designed to expand access to connectivity and digital services. These efforts are expected to support more efficient, resilient, and citizen-centric outcomes.

By combining Dubai Digital Authority’s leadership in advancing the emirate’s digital agenda with Ericsson’s expertise in connectivity and digital infrastructure, both organizations will explore how advanced technologies can support smarter city operations, strengthen public services, and contribute to sustainability and quality of life.

The collaboration also aligns with the UAE’s vision of accelerating innovation and building a future-ready digital economy powered by advanced connectivity, artificial intelligence, and cloud technologies.

Through the Ericsson Dubai partnership, both organizations aim to support initiatives that enhance public services, expand digital access, improve quality of life, and contribute to Dubai’s long-term digital transformation goals.
