AVEVA, a global leader in industrial software, has announced the appointment of Brock Ballard as its new Chief Revenue Officer, effective 1 October 2026. The announcement was made in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, on 25th August 2026.

Brock joins AVEVA from Bentley Systems, following an extensive recruitment process led by the company. He will succeed Sue Quense in the role, as she steps into an advisory capacity.

Brock brings more than 20 years of senior leadership experience in technology sales. He joined Bentley Systems in 2020 as Vice President and Regional Executive, Americas. In 2023, he was named Chief Revenue Officer at Bentley, where he led all of the company’s accounts globally. Before that, he held leadership roles at DELMIA Sales, Dassault Systems, and Autodesk Inc. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication and information sciences from the University of Alabama.

Caspar Herzberg, CEO of AVEVA, welcomed the appointment. He said he was delighted to have Brock join the Executive Leadership team, noting that the company would benefit from his expertise, experience, and commitment to building successful, high-growth tech companies. Herzberg added that Brock’s engaging approach sets him apart in the industry, and that he looks forward to working with the new Chief Revenue Officer to drive the next phase of AVEVA’s growth. He also thanked Sue Quense for her leadership over the past five years, confirming she will continue to work with AVEVA leadership in an advisory role even as she steps back from day-to-day operations.

For his part, Brock Ballard said he has long admired AVEVA’s vision to drive innovation across industries that deliver the essentials of life. He expressed enthusiasm about joining the executive leadership team, pointing to AVEVA’s software portfolio, technical leadership, and growth trajectory as market-leading. He also highlighted the company’s shared commitment to the responsible use of resources, calling it increasingly important for enabling business transformation worldwide.

Meanwhile, Sue Quense will not fully step down from AVEVA. Instead, she will move from her full-time executive role into an advisory capacity, a transition she has been planning for some time. She will continue working closely with Brock during and after the handover. Quense said that in Brock, AVEVA has found someone who embodies the company’s values and shares its focus on driving innovation for customers. She added that she looks forward to supporting AVEVA’s continued success in her new advisory role.

With Brock Ballard now confirmed as the incoming Chief Revenue Officer, AVEVA’s leadership transition is set to take effect from 1 October 2026, marking a new chapter in the company’s growth strategy.
