Cisco (NASDAQ: CSCO) has expanded its data center infrastructure portfolio with new AI-powered solutions aimed at accelerating AI adoption for enterprises. The company introduced a new AI server family and AI PODs, optimized for GPU-intensive AI workloads with NVIDIA accelerated computing. These solutions provide organizations with a scalable, flexible path to AI deployment, utilizing Cisco’s advanced networking capabilities.

Jeetu Patel, Chief Product Officer at Cisco, stated, “Enterprise customers are under pressure to deploy AI workloads, especially with the rise of agentic workflows where AI begins solving problems autonomously. Cisco innovations like AI PODs and the GPU server enhance the security, compliance, and processing power of AI workloads, supporting customers throughout their AI journey from inferencing to training.”

AI’s rapid growth is reshaping data center needs, driving the demand for scalable, sustainable, programmable, and secure networks. McKinsey estimates that generative AI could contribute $2.6 trillion to $4.4 trillion annually to the global economy, with enterprises leading the way in creating value. However, the Cisco AI Readiness Index reveals that while 89% of IT professionals plan to deploy AI workloads within the next two years, only 14% of organizations report their infrastructure is ready for AI today.

Cisco’s new solutions aim to simplify and accelerate AI adoption for businesses, no matter their current infrastructure. These innovations extend existing systems, enabling growth without adding complexity. The solutions are managed through Cisco Intersight, which offers centralized control and automation to streamline configuration and day-to-day operations.

Cisco’s UCS C885A M8 servers are purpose-built for GPU-intensive AI workloads. These high-density servers leverage the NVIDIA HGX supercomputing platform with NVIDIA H100 and H200 Tensor Core GPUs, alongside NVIDIA NICs, SuperNICs, and BlueField-3 DPUs for enhanced AI networking, security, and data access. Cisco’s AI PODs, tailored infrastructure stacks that combine compute, networking, storage, and cloud management, are designed to simplify AI deployment from edge inferencing to large-scale clusters. These pre-configured solutions support NVIDIA AI Enterprise, enabling faster AI development and deployment while reducing risk.

These new offerings complement Cisco’s existing AI and data center infrastructure solutions, such as the 800G Nexus switching platforms powered by the Cisco Silicon One G200 chip and the Nexus HyperFabric AI solution with NVIDIA.

Cisco continues to collaborate with industry partners to advance AI infrastructure. By leveraging its robust networking, security, and observability strengths, Cisco helps customers navigate their AI journeys. Bob Pette, Vice President of Enterprise Platforms at NVIDIA, emphasized, “Cisco’s new AI servers, AI PODs, and NVIDIA accelerated computing platforms provide a strong foundation for enterprises to scale and thrive in the AI era.”

Rob Kim, CTO at Presidio, added, “Cisco’s solutions make it easier for customers to deploy and manage AI infrastructure, fitting seamlessly into their existing systems.” Conor Waddell, SVP at CDW, commented, “These platforms are timely as businesses explore AI’s potential, helping them achieve secure business outcomes.” Neil Anderson, VP at World Wide Technology, concluded, “Cisco’s AI PODs simplify AI infrastructure, enabling customers to focus on their AI goals, and we look forward to showcasing these solutions in our AI Proving Ground Lab.”

With these new AI infrastructure solutions, Cisco is continuing its role in helping enterprises scale, secure, and simplify their AI deployments, driving business value in the age of AI.
