Cisco, a global networking and security brand, has unveiled new innovations designed to empower service providers with AI-connected experiences at scale. These advancements, part of Cisco’s Agile Services Networking initiative, are transforming how service providers build and operate their networks, unlocking new opportunities for monetization in the AI-driven market. By combining high-speed, feature-rich Silicon One routing with a unified software experience and converged IP and optics, Cisco is providing a comprehensive blueprint for growth. Leading service providers such as Arelion, Lumen, and Reliance Jio have already leveraged these innovations to enhance network performance, reduce costs, generate new revenue streams, and improve customer satisfaction.
Jeetu Patel, Executive Vice President and Chief Product Officer at Cisco, highlighted the rapid pace of AI innovation, noting that technical breakthroughs are reshaping consumer experiences and business applications. “This shift presents enormous opportunities for service providers to grow their businesses and lower costs by modernizing infrastructure for AI,” Patel said. “Cisco’s Agile Services Networking equips service providers with the silicon, systems, and software innovations they need to thrive in this new landscape.”
Cisco has expanded its Agile Services Networking offering with two key innovations that provide real-time visibility across both on-network and off-network connectivity, ensuring true end-to-end assurance. These solutions enable service providers to gain insights from home and mobile-connected users all the way to service provider core networks and cloud-delivered services. The first, ThousandEyes Connected Devices, extends the powerful Cisco ThousandEyes platform to service providers, offering enhanced visibility across subscriber experiences from home to off-network services. This allows providers to identify and resolve issues before they impact users, ensuring a competitive edge in service quality.
The second innovation, Provider Connectivity Assurance, is an AI-powered “User Experience” feature that enhances mobile service provider network performance. With real-time traffic insights and predictive demand intelligence, service providers can optimize user experiences, reduce congestion, maximize speed, and dynamically adjust spectrum usage to meet demand. Service providers like Virgin Media O2 and Odido are already using these tools to enhance customer satisfaction, reduce churn, and uncover new opportunities for differentiated services.
Gareth Lister, Director of Customer Products at Virgin Media O2, emphasized the importance of proactive service delivery. “With ThousandEyes Connected Devices powering our Smart Support service, we can measure our customers’ connection and experience in real time, ensuring service excellence and customer satisfaction.”
At Odido, Juan Alberto Brescoli, Head of Access Network, praised Cisco’s solutions for providing deeper insights into network throughput and latency. “The ability to deploy Cisco’s Provider Connectivity Assurance User Experience application seamlessly onto our existing infrastructure is key as we meet the growing demand for our Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) product,” he said.
In addition to these innovations, Cisco is enhancing its Mobility Services Platform with new capabilities designed to accelerate revenue growth for service providers. The platform now includes an application and API ecosystem, along with advanced network services for people, spaces, and things—all delivered as a service. With these cutting-edge solutions, Cisco continues to lead the way in enabling service providers to thrive in the evolving AI landscape.
