The UAE Cybersecurity Council will host GISEC Global 2025, the region’s largest cybersecurity event. It will take place from 6 to 8 May at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The event will bring together over 450 Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs), more than 25,000 professionals from 160 countries, and over 750 top digital brands.

Held under the theme “Securing an AI-Powered Future,” this edition will explore the growing importance of artificial intelligence in defending against modern cyber threats.

The UAE Cybersecurity Council will lead several activities throughout the event. These include the International Cybersecurity Drill, the Cyber Escape Room, and the launch of the National Information Security Platform. There will also be an awards ceremony to celebrate excellence in cybersecurity.

The International Cybersecurity Drill will involve over 160 countries. It will run across all three days of GISEC Global. The drill aims to enhance international cooperation, test readiness, and exchange cyber defense strategies. It will feature:

  • Specialized workshops
  • Strategic discussions on AI and cyber defense
  • Real-time simulated cyberattack response exercises

Another highlight is the Cyber Escape Room, a hands-on, interactive challenge. Participants will analyze simulated cyber threats and respond to complex scenarios. The experience is designed to enhance critical thinking and real-world skills in a high-pressure environment.

The Council will also unveil the National Information Security Platform. This AI-powered tool will streamline cybersecurity compliance. It will support real-time monitoring, verification, and defense measures. The platform is aligned with UAE’s Information Assurance Standards and aims to strengthen cyber protection for government bodies and critical infrastructure operators.

On the sidelines of GISEC Global 2025, the Council will participate in expert panels. Topics include:

  • Cross-border digital transformation
  • Cyber resilience strategies
  • Emerging AI threats, such as deepfakes
  • AI-based audio data analysis

The Council will also host a public awareness session under its “Knowledge Hub” initiative. This session will highlight the role of women in cyber diplomacy and the importance of gender representation in cybersecurity leadership.

An awards ceremony will recognize outstanding contributions in the field.

  • The CISO of the Year award will honor a top-performing cybersecurity leader.
  • The GCD Partner Awards will recognize impactful cybersecurity partnerships.

The event will also feature major global companies such as Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Cisco, and Huawei. Leading cybersecurity firms including Kaspersky, Check Point, CPX, CrowdStrike, CyberKnight, LinkShadow, and Spire Solutions will participate.

Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, Head of Cybersecurity for the UAE Government, said the event comes at a critical time. He emphasized the need for united international efforts to address rising digital threats.

“As part of the UAE’s ‘Year of the Community,’ our partnership with GISEC Global reflects our commitment to collaboration. Together, we aim to protect data privacy, secure infrastructure, and apply AI to defend against advanced cyberattacks,” he said.

GISEC Global 2025 will reinforce the UAE’s position as a global cybersecurity hub. It will align global expertise with regional needs and promote innovation in AI-powered cybersecurity solutions.
