Dubai reaffirmed its strong commitment to AI in healthcare during the AI in Healthcare Forum, part of Dubai AI Week. The event focused on the theme “Enhancing Healthcare with AI” and brought together global experts and leaders in technology and healthcare.
His Excellency Awadh Seghayer Al Ketbi, Director General of the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), emphasized the strategic role of AI in improving healthcare systems. He noted that artificial intelligence is both a global challenge and a major opportunity for progress.
Al Ketbi credited Dubai’s early adoption of AI to the forward-thinking leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
He explained that the DHA is working continuously to integrate AI into healthcare systems. The goal is to improve service quality, streamline operations, and achieve better patient outcomes.
In addition, DHA aims to build strong partnerships with leading institutions worldwide. These collaborations are key to advancing AI capabilities in the healthcare sector.
The forum featured expert discussions on AI’s future in healthcare, data privacy, emergency response, and real-world applications. Topics also included how to move from AI strategy to execution.
Speakers included Dr. Anton Dahbura from Johns Hopkins University, Deven Pandey of Gartner, and Prof. Akin Osman from MINES Paris – PSL. Other speakers represented PwC, Keyzana, RUVOS, and Capgemini.
With events like this, Dubai continues to position itself as a global hub for AI in healthcare, aiming to shape smarter and more efficient health systems.
