Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy organised a startup pitching session with Oraseya Capital to connect technology startups with potential funding opportunities. The session brought together seven startups, the investment team at Oraseya Capital, and its SANDBOX Investment Program.

The founders presented their business models, solutions, and growth plans. They also received immediate feedback on the requirements for the next stages of the evaluation and potential investment process.

Following the session, several participating companies progressed to the next stage of Oraseya Capital’s evaluation process. They could potentially benefit from the SANDBOX Investment Program to support their growth and expansion.

Saeed Al Gergawi, Vice President of Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, said the initiative is focused on creating practical pathways for technology startups to connect directly with potential investors and access capital and expertise.

He added that the chamber is committed to supporting Dubai’s digital economy ecosystem and strengthening the emirate’s position as a global hub for entrepreneurship, investment, and technology businesses.

Julien Plouzeau, Senior Partner at Oraseya Capital, said startup funding can have greater impact when combined with expertise, guidance, and access to an investment ecosystem that supports business growth.

He added that the collaboration with Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy supports Oraseya Capital’s efforts to identify technology companies, help them develop their business models, accelerate growth, and expand from Dubai.

The participating startups included Arakan, a UAE-based technology platform supporting businesses with compliance, corporate requirements, and related operational processes.

Duno, an operational intelligence platform, helps lenders evaluate and understand small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Meanwhile, YOUNEA provides businesses with branded AI agents across voice, chat, and WhatsApp.

The other participating companies were Riayatech, a UAE HealthTech company developing digital solutions for healthcare operations and patient journeys; Avelin, a sovereign AI platform offering AI through cloud, on-premises, and air-gapped deployments; and SENSI, a fragrance technology startup developing digital scent and sensory technology solutions through its “Internet of Fragrances” concept.

Cogniver also participated in the session. The company develops an AI-native enterprise platform using autonomous AI agents to support and automate organisational workflows and business processes.

Oraseya Capital manages an AED500 million investment fund focused on technology startups from the pre-seed stage through to Series B.

Through its SANDBOX Investment Program, the investment firm provides founders with potential funding opportunities ranging from AED550,000 to approximately AED11 million. The program also includes mentorship and guidance, investment-readiness support, and access to a wider startup ecosystem.

The startup funding session forms part of Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy’s efforts to strengthen connections between technology startups and investors. It is also intended to facilitate access to potential funding opportunities and support startups as they scale and grow.

The initiative aligns with the chamber’s strategic priorities to attract international businesses and investment to Dubai while supporting the continued development of the emirate’s digital economy ecosystem and startup funding opportunities.
