Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) has announced the open call for the second edition of the ‘MENA Creatives Bootcamp – AI & Innovation Edition,’ organized in partnership with Google. This initiative aims to empower the creative community in the UAE and the MENA region by enhancing their skills and equipping them with advanced technology and AI solutions to elevate their creative projects. It also focuses on improving participants’ digital presence and encouraging experiential learning.

This initiative underscores Dubai Culture’s dedication to fostering the cultural and creative industries, reinforcing Dubai’s position as a global hub for culture, a thriving incubator for creativity, and a magnet for talent.

The bootcamp is open for applications until January 10, 2025, with limited spaces available. Participants will gain access to a four-day program featuring networking opportunities, collaboration with exceptional talent, and one-on-one mentorship from Google’s AI experts. Activities will take place at Google’s Dubai office, while the final day, held at Al Quoz Creative Zone, will feature specialized sessions on innovation, digital art, and artificial intelligence.

Shaima Rashed Al Suwaidi, Director of the Marketing & Corporate Communication Department at Dubai Culture, highlighted the bootcamp’s alignment with the UAE National Innovation Strategy, stating:
“Through this bootcamp, Dubai Culture seeks to open new horizons for creatives and provide them with access to experts, tools, and knowledge to explore technology and advanced AI applications that can be integrated into their creative practices and projects. These applications offer unique capabilities in content creation and idea generation, strengthening Dubai’s global leadership as one of the world’s most future-ready cities.”

The inaugural edition, ‘MENA Creatives Bootcamp – Sustainability Edition,’ aligned with the UAE Year of Sustainability and COP 28. It drew over 88 applications from creatives across the region, with 21 participants from 10 countries selected to join. The program featured guidance from 41 mentors and specialists, including 19 Google experts, along with workshops and sessions focused on achieving sustainability and adopting eco-friendly design practices.
