Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DCAI) has officially launched registration for the groundbreaking initiative, One Million Prompters, aimed at training one million individuals in the fast-evolving field of AI prompt engineering. This unprecedented initiative is the first of its kind and seeks to empower participants with the skills necessary to harness AI prompt technology and unlock its transformative potential.
Launched in May 2024 under the guidance of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Future Foundation (DFF), One Million Prompters aligns with Dubai’s strategy to become a global leader in AI adoption and innovation. Over the next three years, the program will equip individuals with essential AI and prompt engineering skills, enabling them to thrive in professional and creative industries through the use of generative AI.
This initiative is a key component of the Dubai Universal Blueprint for AI, a visionary framework designed to develop specialized AI talent and accelerate AI integration across critical sectors. By promoting expertise in AI prompt engineering, Dubai is reinforcing its position as a global hub for technological innovation.
Saeed Al Falasi, Director of DCAI, emphasized the initiative’s far-reaching impact: “This program will open doors for individuals across various fields to drive AI adoption, from technical to creative sectors. Mastering AI prompt engineering will empower participants to unlock groundbreaking applications and fuel innovation globally, starting from Dubai.”
He added, “The One Million Prompters initiative supports Dubai’s mission of becoming future-ready and nurturing the next generation of AI specialists. It will be instrumental in realizing the goals of the Dubai Universal Blueprint for AI, facilitating seamless AI integration across industries shaping tomorrow’s world.”
The One Million Prompters initiative offers a robust curriculum structured into four specialized modules. The first module, Unleashing the Power of AI, provides foundational knowledge in AI, generative AI, and prompt literacy. The second, Commanding Conversations with AI Chatbots, covers advanced techniques for optimizing human-AI interactions. The third module, AI-Powered Productivity Revolution, focuses on AI-driven strategies to improve productivity and streamline workflows. The final module, Creative Frontiers with Generative AI, explores AI applications in creative fields such as art, music, and video production. Participants who complete the program will earn accredited certificates in AI prompt engineering.
This initiative builds on the success of the inaugural Global Prompt Engineering Championship, the largest AI prompt engineering competition, held in Dubai in May 2024. The competition attracted thousands of applicants from nearly 100 countries, with winners including Ajay Cyril (India) in Coding, Megan Fowkes (Austria) in Art, and Aditya Nair (India) in Literature. The second edition will be held during Dubai AI Week in April 2025.
