Emirates has announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Crypto.com. The agreement aims to explore the integration of Crypto.com Pay into Emirates’ payment systems.

The integration is expected to be implemented next year. It will prioritize high security and compliance standards throughout the process.

The MoU was signed in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline & Group. The agreement was formalized by Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, and Mohammed Al Hakim, President of Crypto.com’s UAE operations.

Michael Doersam, Emirates’ Chief Financial & Group Services Officer, also attended the signing.

Adnan Kazim stated that the partnership with Crypto.com reflects Emirates’ commitment to evolving customer needs. He emphasized the growing demand for digital currencies among younger, tech-savvy travelers.

He added that this move aligns with Dubai’s vision to lead in financial innovation while offering flexible payment options to Emirates customers.

Eric Anziani, President and COO of Crypto.com, expressed excitement over the collaboration. He noted that the partnership would advance the real-world use of cryptocurrencies and deliver innovative finance solutions.

Additionally, Emirates and Crypto.com will work on promotional campaigns to raise awareness and support adoption of the new payment method.

This development comes as Dubai strengthens its position as a global hub for cryptocurrency. The city’s regulatory framework supports innovation, investor protection, and financial stability.

Several Dubai-based companies, from real estate developers to telecoms, have already begun accepting cryptocurrencies as a payment method.
