ePointZero, the global renewable energy platform of 2PointZero, has announced the appointment of Mohamed Hesham as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.

The announcement reflects ePointZero’s growing role at the intersection of technology, energy security, and sustainability.

Hesham brings over 17 years of experience in investment banking, infrastructure, and energy transition strategy. He currently serves on the boards of several strategic entities, where he helps drive governance, growth, and innovation in the UAE’s key sectors.

This leadership change comes at a crucial time. Global electricity demand is expected to double by 2030, driven in part by expanding AI infrastructure. As a result, ePointZero’s strategic role in delivering 24/7 clean energy is becoming even more vital.

The company delivers end-to-end solutions across:

  • Clean energy developments and smart grids
  • Industrial decarbonization and component manufacturing

Hesham’s appointment builds on his track record of transformative investments and reflects 2PointZero’s Dynamic Value Network approach. This model integrates mining, energy, manufacturing, and mobility to create sustainable value.

Group CEO of 2PointZero, H.E. Mariam Almheiri, stated that the energy landscape is rapidly evolving. She noted that 2PointZero is playing a key role in positioning the UAE as a leader in this transformation both as a capital provider and infrastructure builder.

She added, “Mohamed Hesham brings a unique combination of strategic perspective and operational rigor to ePointZero. He has helped shape our investment philosophy by combining scale with sustainability.”

Hesham expressed his commitment to building the infrastructure of the future. “We are making bold, high-conviction investments in scalable technologies,” he said. “Our mission is to support the AI revolution, enable net-zero industries, and secure long-term, sustainable value for our partners and the planet.”

Previously, as Group CIO of 2PointZero, Hesham led several strategic acquisitions. These included investments in El Sewedy Electric, Mopani Copper Mines, and Alphamin Tin Mine each playing a key role in the energy transition and semiconductor supply chain.

He also led ePointZero’s 1 GWh energy storage partnership with Enercap by Apex Energy. This initiative supports grid flexibility and around-the-clock clean energy availability.

Most recently, Hesham guided a collaboration with International Resources Holding (IRH) to decarbonize mining operations in Africa. The project serves as a model for responsible, energy-intensive industry development.

ePointZero continues to expand its influence as global demand for clean, scalable energy solutions accelerates.
