Huawei and Kawar Energy have announced a collaboration to install Huawei’s advanced EV superchargers at Manaseer gas stations across the Kingdom over the next two years. This initiative aims to significantly increase the accessibility of EV charging stations, catering to the growing number of EV owners in Jordan.

Jordan, recognized as having one of the largest EV markets in the region, is poised for significant growth in the coming years. The partnership between Huawei and Kawar Energy will meet this rising demand by introducing cutting-edge EV charging solutions. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) also outlines plans to explore further business opportunities beyond gas stations, targeting both public and private sectors to expand the deployment of advanced charging technology throughout the Kingdom.

The MoU was signed by Mr. Zhang Shizhe, General Manager of Huawei Jordan, and Eng. Firas Alkhatib, CEO of Kawar Energy, with senior teams from both companies in attendance.

Eng. Firas Alkhatib expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “This collaboration marks a significant step forward for the energy sector in Jordan. It aligns with our vision of fostering innovation and sustainability. We are confident that this partnership will play a pivotal role in advancing the country’s EV infrastructure.”

Mr. Zhang Shizhe added, “This MoU strengthens our partnership and paves the way for expanding Huawei’s technology across various sectors in Jordan. We are committed to driving innovation in the energy sector through our advanced digital power solutions, setting a new standard for EV infrastructure in the region.”

EV users in Jordan will benefit from Huawei’s industry-leading supercharging technologies, such as the Liquid Cooled technology, which can charge a one-kilometer range in just one second. This state-of-the-art technology will be implemented at Al Manaseer gas stations, marking a significant milestone in Jordan’s journey toward a more sustainable infrastructure.

Huawei Digital Power, with its global presence and extensive R&D capabilities, continues to pioneer digital power technologies. By the end of 2023, Huawei’s solutions had helped generate nearly one trillion kWh of green power, save billions of kWh of electricity, and reduce CO2 emissions by millions of tons, contributing to a greener and more sustainable future.
