Huawei has announced a major upgrade to the HUAWEI TruSense System, introducing a new Distributed Super-Sensing Module. This update brings improved accuracy, faster measurements, and broader health monitoring capabilities.

The enhanced TruSense System now includes fingertip detection. Combined with wrist-based sensing, it allows for more precise data collection. This industry-first feature uses multimodal signal fusion to monitor health from multiple points on the body.

Huawei’s upgrade meets rising global demand for real-time, proactive health tracking. It also strengthens the system’s ability to deliver comprehensive health insights.

The Distributed Super-Sensing Module collects optical, electrical, acoustic, and mechanical signals. By using both the wrist and fingertips, it captures richer data. Fingertips offer clearer signals due to their thin skin and dense vascular structure.

This setup improves monitoring of key health metrics such as blood oxygen, heart rate, and blood pressure risk. It also reduces interference from factors like skin tone and hair.

Another key upgrade is faster blood oxygen detection. Now, the system responds in real-time. The Health Glance feature has also been improved. It measures over 10 indicators in just 60 seconds. New metrics include Heart Rate Variability, emotional well-being, and ovarian function assessment.

Huawei first introduced the TruSense System in 2024. It tracks over 60 indicators across six major body systems. These include circulatory, respiratory, nervous, endocrine, reproductive, and muscular systems.

Huawei has led the global wearables market for over a decade. According to IDC, it ranks first in wrist-worn wearable shipments in the sub-$700 segment. In China, Huawei has been the top smartwatch brand for six years in a row.

The HUAWEI WATCH 5, featuring the enhanced TruSense System, will launch on May 15, 2025, in Berlin. More details will be revealed at the event.
