Huawei Tech Investment Saudi Arabia has signed Huawei ICT Academy cooperation agreements with five Saudi universities. The signings took place at LEAP 2026, expanding one of the world’s most recognized ICT talent programs across the Kingdom.

The ceremonies were held at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center, Malham. Five institutions joined as new partners: University of Bisha, Qassim University, King Khalid University, University of Jeddah, and Prince Sattam Bin Abdulaziz University.

Under the agreements, each university receives structured ICT curricula and hands-on training resources. Additionally, students will have a clear pathway to earn internationally recognized certifications, including the Huawei Certified ICT Associate (HCIA). Training covers cloud computing, big data, artificial intelligence, and data communications, which is expected to boost graduate employability in Saudi Arabia’s growing digital economy.

With the new partners based in Bisha, Al Qassim, Abha, Jeddah, and Al Kharj, the Huawei ICT Academy now extends across multiple regions of the Kingdom. As a result, access to industry-aligned ICT education reaches well beyond Saudi Arabia’s major cities.

Furthermore, faculty at each university will benefit from Huawei’s train-the-trainer model. This gives instructors access to technical resources, curriculum development tools, and regular program updates that keep classroom learning aligned with industry needs. Students from all five universities will also be eligible to compete in the Huawei ICT Competition, a global program recognized by UNESCO’s Global Skills Academy for fostering digital skills.

Speaking at the event, Liam Zhao, Chairman of Huawei Saudi Arabia, said the Huawei ICT Academy is built on the belief that world-class digital talent must be developed locally through structured, industry-aligned education. He added that the latest signings extend this commitment to five more Saudi institutions, preparing the next generation of engineers, developers, and digital leaders for the intelligent era.

The agreements were signed against the backdrop of LEAP 2026, where Huawei is promoting its theme, “Advancing Industrial All Intelligence.” This aligns with the event’s broader vision, “Into New Worlds.” Overall, the partnerships reflect Huawei’s view that innovation begins with people, and that the Huawei ICT Academy remains one of the most impactful contributions a technology partner can make to Saudi Arabia’s future.
