Informatica from Salesforce has announced a comprehensive platform update. The update is designed to help enterprises operationalize AI at scale through autonomous, governed, and AI-ready data management. Informatica is positioning this as a response to rising enterprise AI adoption and persistent data governance challenges.

The announcement comes as enterprises accelerate AI deployment. However, they continue to face fragmented data environments. In addition, governance frameworks are not evolving at the same pace as AI use cases.

According to a 2026 CDO survey, 76 percent of data leaders say governance has not kept pace with AI adoption. Meanwhile, 61 percent report that higher-quality data is required to move AI pilots into production. Therefore, Informatica is introducing new capabilities aimed at closing this gap.

The updated platform introduces headless data management. It exposes governed data services to any AI agent through native Model Context Protocol support. Furthermore, it includes autonomous data management agents that automate real-time data quality and enrichment. It also introduces a unified agent and context catalog that brings data assets and AI agents into a single governance framework.

“The Middle East is at an inflection point as enterprises are moving fast on AI adoption, but many are constrained by legacy data infrastructure and governance gaps,” said Yasser Shawky, Vice President – EMEA South at Informatica from Salesforce. He added that the update helps regional organizations modernize data foundations and activate AI without manual overhead.

In addition, the platform enables enterprises to invoke data operations directly from large language models, IDEs, and business tools. These include Claude, Slackbot, and Cursor. Importantly, this can be done without rebuilding existing infrastructure.

CLAIRE, Informatica’s AI intelligence layer, operates as a fully headless service. It delivers governed data, quality checks, integration, and master data management across Salesforce, AWS, Microsoft, Databricks, Snowflake, and on-premises environments.

Moreover, Informatica has expanded integration and business context capabilities. The Data 360 Connector and Scanner enables real-time bidirectional data flow between enterprise systems and Salesforce Data 360. It also provides end-to-end lineage.

MDM Integration with Data 360 combines master data for products, accounts, finance, and suppliers. As a result, it powers more accurate AI agents for CRM and business applications.

CLAIRE in Slack allows sales, marketing, analytics, and customer service teams to access data discovery, governance, and integration features directly within workflows.

Informatica Agentic Integration supports real-time structured and unstructured data flow across enterprises. This ensures AI agents operate with complete business context. In parallel, the Data Quality Agent allows users to define quality rules in natural language and automatically generates production-ready logic.

The Metadata Enrichment Agent generates business descriptions and sensitivity labels as data flows. This makes every asset AI-ready at scale.

Furthermore, the platform introduces Agentic Multidomain MDM. It enables autonomous data stewardship where agents continuously cleanse, enrich, and match master data in real time. The Data Steward Agent automates record matching and quality resolution, reducing manual MDM processes.

Informatica has also published governance and catalog capabilities as MCPs through Agent Fabric Context Catalog. This creates a unified destination to discover, govern, and operate both data assets and AI agents. It also provides full lineage visibility at the point of integration, including vetted agents, data assets, and governance policies.

“What Informatica from Salesforce is unveiling is a new model for enterprise data,” said Rahul Auradkar, President and GM, Data Foundation at Salesforce. He added that agents will handle much of the data management workload so teams can focus on higher-value tasks. He also emphasized unified trust across humans, agents, and platforms.

Availability varies across features. Headless Data Management, Data Quality Agent, Data 360 Connector and Scanner, and Agent Fabric Context Catalog are generally available as of Spring 2026. Agentic Integration, Metadata Enrichment Agent, and Agentic Multidomain MDM are scheduled for Q4 2026. MDM Integration with Data 360 will launch in Q3 2026. CLAIRE in Slack is currently in preview and will reach general availability in Q4 2026.

Informatica continues to expand its enterprise AI data strategy with a focus on governance, automation, and real-time intelligence. Informatica remains central to enterprise AI data transformation.
