The 26th edition of Intersec, the world’s largest business event for security, safety, and fire protection, set a new benchmark this year with a record number of exhibitors and a 20% increase in space compared to last year. Hosted at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), the event spanned 61,000 sqm, attracting participants from 61 countries. Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansoor Bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Intersec 2025 welcomed 47,300 visitors from 142 countries, showcasing the latest technologies and solutions across five key sectors: Commercial & Perimeter Security, Fire & Rescue, Safety & Health, Cyber Security, and Homeland Security & Policing.
Wajahat Hussain, Show Manager at Messe Frankfurt Middle East, emphasized the significance of the event, stating that Intersec remains the premier platform where global leaders and experts converge to exchange ideas and explore groundbreaking advancements in the safety, security, and fire protection industries. He added that surpassing previous exhibitor records highlights Intersec’s pivotal role in driving forward-thinking solutions for a safer and more secure world.
A key addition this year was the successful launch of the two-day Intersec Policing Conference, which brought together over 50 expert speakers, including senior law enforcement officials from the Abu Dhabi Police, INTERPOL, the Metropolitan Police, and the UAE Financial Intelligence Unit. The discussions focused on topics such as policing in the digital era, proactive policing, road safety, and the future of strategic automation in law enforcement.
The CISO Business Briefing was another new initiative that welcomed top Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) from the region to discuss key trends, threats, and opportunities in information security. The opening keynote address was delivered by H.E. Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, Head of Cybersecurity, UAE Government.
In a groundbreaking move, Intersec 2025 also saw the launch of the Intersec Startup Arena, in collaboration with Ignyte, which provided startups with a unique platform to showcase their disruptive technologies and ideas. The arena connected emerging companies with industry leaders, investors, and government representatives, helping pave the way for strategic partnerships, mentorship, and investment opportunities.
Several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed during the event, marking new collaborations between organizations such as Abu Dhabi Civil Defence, Saudi Sicli, Gallagher, NAFFCO, and others. These partnerships emphasize the growing importance of collaboration in advancing security and safety solutions.
The 4th annual Intersec Awards recognized outstanding individuals, teams, and organizations for their contributions to setting new standards of excellence in the security, safety, and fire protection industries. Award winners included Dubai Civil Defense, NAFFCO, Dubai Municipality, and the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA).
Looking ahead, Intersec 2026 will take place from 12–14 January 2026 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, continuing its legacy as a key platform for innovation and collaboration in the security, safety, and fire protection sectors.
