Intersec 2026, a global platform for manufacturers and buyers in the security, safety and fire protection sectors, will open next week in Dubai. The event was announced to take place under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansoor Bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Ports and Borders Security Council.

Intersec 2026 will be held from 12 to 14 January 2026 at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC). Organisers reported that this will be the largest edition in the event’s history. More than 1,200 exhibitors from over 60 countries are expected to participate. In addition, more than 50,000 trade visitors are forecast to attend.

Due to strong international demand, the exhibition has expanded by nearly 12,000 square metres. It will now span around 65,000 square metres of gross exhibition space. The show will run across multiple halls and outdoor demonstration areas. Pavilions from the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Singapore, Sweden, China, Turkey and Korea have been confirmed, reflecting broad global participation.

Intersec 2026 will showcase technologies, solutions and integrated strategies across five core sectors. These include Homeland Security and Policing, Cybersecurity, Commercial and Perimeter Security, Fire and Rescue, and Health and Safety. Together, these areas are expected to highlight how governments, organisations and critical infrastructure operators are responding to physical, digital and environmental risks.

Dishan Isaac, Show Director of Intersec at Messe Frankfurt Middle East, said Intersec 2026 represents a major milestone for the event. He noted that the growth of this edition reflects rising demand for collaboration, clarity and future-ready technologies. He added that the platform brings together innovation, policy and operational needs from across the security ecosystem.

A key feature of Intersec 2026 is its expanded conference and knowledge programme. More than 250 experts are scheduled to deliver insights across multiple platforms. The International Security Leaders’ Summit will return, bringing together senior decision-makers responsible for national security, crisis management and organisational resilience. Topics will include AI governance, crisis leadership, human risk, public-private collaboration and alignment with national strategies.

The Fire and Rescue Conference will examine developments in fire prediction, building life-safety systems, passive fire protection and emergency response. Meanwhile, the Health and Safety Conference will focus on workforce protection, behavioural safety and wellbeing in high-risk environments.

Cyber resilience will be highlighted during the InCyber Briefing. CISOs and digital risk leaders will explore AI, post-quantum readiness, data sovereignty and cyber crisis simulation. In parallel, specialist theatres such as the Access Control Theatre, Control Room Innovation Theatre and the SIRA Forum will provide technical and regulatory insights.

Additional features announced include the IFPO Certified Security Supervision and Management Workshop and Challenge Exam, designed to support professional development through scenario-based learning. The Passive Fire Day and the FCIA–NFCA PFPCON ’26 Dubai will also take place, connecting experts to advance standards and collaboration in the passive fire sector.

Intersec 2026 will also introduce invitation-only executive roundtables. These sessions, led by PwC and Kearney, will bring together senior leaders from government, industry and technology to discuss key challenges facing the sector.

Visitors will be able to experience live demonstrations and real-world response scenarios. The Intersec Awards 2026 will also be held during the event week, recognising achievements across security, fire safety, cybersecurity and health and safety.

Key UAE authorities, including the General Command of Dubai Civil Defense and the Security Industry Regulatory Agency, continue to support the event. Organisers said this reflects alignment with national safety and resilience priorities.

Key highlights include:

  • Over 1,200 exhibitors and 50,000 visitors expected at Intersec 2026
  • Expanded exhibition space and international participation
  • Focus on cybersecurity, AI, resilience and emergency response technologies

Intersec 2026 will open on Monday, 12 January, and conclude on Wednesday, 14 January 2026, at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
