LG Electronics (LG) has announced a new collaboration with six-time Grammy Award winner will.i.am to enhance the LG xboom audio lineup. This partnership is not limited to brand endorsement. It involves direct creative input from the artist, who worked closely with LG’s mixing and mastering experts.

According to LG, the goal was to improve the sound quality of the LG xboom range and maintain a consistent audio identity across products. The result is a more balanced and immersive sound profile tailored for global music fans.

The first product reflecting this collaboration will launch next month. LG revealed that the xboom Stage301, a portable speaker, is designed to deliver powerful sound performance in various environments.

Key features of the Stage301 include:

  • 120W output power, driven by a 6.5-inch woofer and dual 2.5-inch midranges
  • New EQ modes, such as Deep Bass, Punch Bass, and Clear Voice EQ

In addition, the speaker supports multiple mounting positions. Users can place it flat, tilt it back, or mount it on a tripod. LG reported that the Stage301 meets IPX4 water resistance standards and includes a replaceable battery that lasts up to 11 hours.

To enhance visual appeal, the speaker comes with dual bar lighting. Users can select from nine lighting presets or view real-time indicators for volume and status. Through the dedicated app, karaoke and DJ features are also accessible, offering more interactive options.

Following this, LG confirmed the upcoming release of two more LG xboom speakers: the xboom Bounce and xboom Grab. These models will launch later in July. Both include AI sound and AI calibration. The Bounce speaker provides a wide soundstage with crisp highs, while the Grab features a practical hand strap and outdoor-ready design.

  • Bounce offers 30-hour battery life
  • Grab runs up to 20 hours on a single charge

Both speakers come with customizable lighting and are built for portable use.

LG also highlighted its existing xboom models. The XG8 features a hybrid strap and strong bass output. The compact Rock (XG2) is designed with a rugged exterior for outdoor and mobile listening.

The LG xboom ecosystem also includes the xboom Buds. These wireless earbuds use graphene drivers and support active noise cancellation. The adaptive EQ optimizes audio based on ear shape and fit. Additional features include LE Audio Auracast, multi-point pairing, and a redesigned ear hook for a secure fit.

The xboom Buds are IPX4-rated and come with a long-lasting battery, making them suitable for solo listening in various settings.

LG reported that this extended xboom lineup reflects its strategy to offer flexible and user-centered audio products across different lifestyles and preferences.
