Proofpoint and CyberGate Partner to Strengthen Cybersecurity in UAE

Proofpoint, Inc., a global cybersecurity and compliance company, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CyberGate Defense LLC, a prominent cybersecurity organization specializing in end-to-end solutions and expertise to combat evolving cyber threats. The MoU was signed under the guidance of His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, Head of the UAE Cyber Security Council, by Cherif Morcos, Chief Business Officer at CyberGate, and Emile Abou Saleh, Vice President of Northern Europe, Middle East, Turkey & Africa at Proofpoint, during the Proofpoint Protect Tour event in Dubai.

Human error remains the top cyber risk for UAE organizations, with 76% of CISOs identifying it as their biggest vulnerability, according to Proofpoint research. As attacks increasingly target people rather than infrastructure, a human-centric approach to cybersecurity is essential for organizations to effectively manage the threat landscape.

This collaboration will see CyberGate offering Proofpoint’s human-centric cybersecurity solutions to UAE organizations, helping them mitigate threats, protect sensitive information, and guide users. Additionally, Proofpoint’s ZenGuide platform, a leading cybersecurity and awareness training tool, will be integrated into CyberGate Academy’s cybersecurity curriculum, benefiting organizations in the UAE and globally.
