Qualys, Inc. has announced its participation in GISEC 2022, with the subject “Securing Your Digital Transformation with Cybersecurity Automation.”
Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, regional media sources have reported a significant increase in cyberattacks. Malware assaults in the Middle East increased by about 17 percent in the first half of 2021 compared to the previous year. Kuwait, Bahrain, Egypt, and Qatar were among the most impacted, with Oman alone experiencing a 67 percent rise in incidences.
“As organizations continue to accelerate their digital transformation journeys, they must adapt their threat postures to cover newly adopted technologies and methodologies such as containers, DevOps, mobility, IoT, OT and cloud, while maintaining their traditional data centers,” said Hadi Jaafarawi, Managing Director, Middle East, Qualys. “Qualys’ cloud platform, with its suite of security applications, delivers an indispensable capability to gain visibility across the entire infrastructure, and enhance remediation efforts.”
Qualys will present its newest developments and provide 30-day trials to interested delegates at GISEC 2022. The benefits of automation inside the cybersecurity department will be a prominent message for the organisation this year. Automation enables enterprises to obtain comprehensive insight across hybrid multi-cloud setups, allowing them to detect vulnerabilities and suspicious behaviour. Furthermore, by utilising machine intelligence to take over manual and repetitive activities from human agents, security experts may devote their talents to more complicated and inventive jobs, such as tracking down more elusive assaults or partnering with line of business on strategy and policy.
Jaafarawi added, “The region’s threat landscape never sleeps. Bad actors keep learning. And organizations continue to suffer from IT and security skills gaps. This confluence of factors calls for a renewed look at automation as the best means of securing digital boundaries. GISEC is the region’s preeminent venue for cybersecurity vendors to build awareness around their solutions and innovations. The strong support and participation by UAE government authorities is a huge boon for the event, and Qualys is looking forward to being part of the conversation around how we strengthen our defenses and mitigation options in the days ahead.”
Visitors to the Qualys booth will get a chance to speak with technical experts about Qualys’ full solution portfolio, including:
Away from the company’s stand, Tarek Naja, security architect for the Middle East at Qualys, will conduct a session on Azure Active Directory Hacking on GISEC’s Dark Stage. The presentation will go through the primary tactics used by threat actors to do reconnaissance, gain a foothold, retain access, elevate privileges, and pivot between on-premises and cloud environments.
At GISEC 2022, Qualys will exhibit at Stand C47.
