Ras Al Khaimah and Huawei Ecosystem have joined forces in a strategic partnership to position the Emirate as a must-visit destination for Chinese travelers. Through a series of initiatives, including leveraging Huawei’s innovative platforms like Petal Ads, HUAWEI AppGallery, and HUAWEI Themes, the collaboration has brought Ras Al Khaimah’s unique tourism offerings to millions of Chinese users.
The campaign, notably during Golden Week, showcased Ras Al Khaimah’s stunning landscapes, rich culture, and unique experiences, amplified by Huawei’s Petal Ads platform and prominent Chinese Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs). These efforts have delivered exceptional results, helping Ras Al Khaimah make a strong impression on Chinese tourists.
William Hu, Managing Director of Huawei Consumer Business Group, Middle East and Africa Eco Development and Operation, said: “Our partnership with Ras Al Khaimah reflects our shared commitment to excellence and innovation. Huawei’s ecosystem, especially Petal Ads, is the ultimate gateway to engage with the Chinese market, driving tourism, business exchange, and investment opportunities.”
Raki Phillips, CEO of Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA), added: “Huawei has revolutionized how we connect with the Chinese travel market, now one of our top 10 source markets. Through this partnership, we’ve been able to showcase Ras Al Khaimah’s incredible tourism offerings, further solidifying its place on the Chinese travel map. This collaboration has already yielded great results, and we look forward to continued success.”
In addition, Ras Al Khaimah hosted the HUAWEI AppGallery Gamers Cup on November 16, 2024, marking the region’s first-ever beachside all-star gaming tournament. The event attracted nearly 1,000 attendees and set a new benchmark for esports in the region.
The partnership also made significant strides at the Huawei Developer Conference (HDC) 2024 MEA, where Ras Al Khaimah engaged with key Chinese enterprises. This platform allowed the Emirate to further highlight its unique tourism offerings and strengthen ties with the Chinese market, reinforcing its vision of becoming a global hub for tourism and entertainment.
