Singapore Airlines (SIAL.SI) said on Tuesday that about 46,000 booking records may have been affected by the Amadeus breach, Reuters reported. The incident involves Amadeus (AMA.MC), the airline’s reservation technology provider.

The airline said the exposed data included customer names, booking reference numbers, travel itineraries and booking classes. For about 620 booking records, other details may also have been accessed. These include email addresses, phone numbers, travel document details and KrisFlyer membership numbers.

Singapore Airlines added that Amadeus confirmed that bank account and credit card information had not been leaked. It also said bookings were not modified. The airline confirmed that its own IT systems were not breached.

As a precaution, Singapore Airlines is contacting affected customers with upcoming travel plans. It is asking them to change their booking reference numbers.

Several other carriers have reported similar exposure. Cathay Pacific Airways (0293.HK), Japan Airlines (9201.T) and South Korea’s Asiana Airlines (020560.KS) have said customer data was compromised in the Amadeus breach. Malaysia Airlines also said some of its customer information may have been affected.

In recent days, Cathay Pacific and Japan Airlines reported the scale of the impact, according to Reuters. Cathay Pacific said the breach affected data involving 53,000 bookings. Japan Airlines said it affected data involving 92,000 customers.

Amadeus said it had become aware of a vulnerability affecting a travel booking display environment. However, it did not respond to a question on how many customers’ data were affected.

For now, the Amadeus breach continues to affect multiple airlines. The total number of customers impacted remains unconfirmed.
