UAE Triumphs at the Intersec 2025 Awards with Eight Wins

The prestigious Intersec 2025 Awards, held on Wednesday, 15 January, at the Ritz Carlton DIFC in Dubai, celebrated the most outstanding achievements in safety, security, and fire protection. The event marked a significant milestone for the UAE, with the nation securing an impressive eight out of the 16 accolades across various categories, reinforcing its leadership in the field.

This year, the awards recognized excellence in 16 diverse categories, showcasing the industry’s ongoing innovation and commitment. The UAE emerged victorious in prominent categories, including the Fire Safety Excellence Project – Middle East & Africa, the Fire Safety Innovation Award, and the highly anticipated Women Trailblazers in Security/Fire Safety Award.

The 2025 edition of the awards attracted a record-breaking 1,421 entries from over 30 countries, reflecting the global growth of the safety and security sector. UAE organizations such as Dubai Civil Defense, Dubai Municipality, Ministry of Interior, Emirates Safety Laboratory LLC, NAFFCO, Luxury Owners Association Management Company LLC (LOAMS), Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA), and Drydocks World took home multiple accolades, showcasing the nation’s commitment to fostering homegrown talent and innovation while collaborating with global expertise.

Notable awards included the Outstanding Fire Safety Team Award, jointly presented to Drydocks World and LOAMS, and the Rising Star Award for Emirati Talent, which went to Lt. Col. Dr. Humaid AL Ali, General Command of Civil Defense, Ministry of Interior, UAE. His exceptional contributions to the industry have set a new benchmark for future professionals.

The Cyber Hub of the Year Award was jointly awarded to CultureAI for their Human Risk Management Platform and Hive Pro for their Uni5 Xposure Threat Exposure Management Platform.

For the first time, three new categories were introduced to reflect the evolving landscape of safety and security: the Excellence in Testing, Evaluation, and Certification Award, the CISO of the Year Award, and the Consulting Leadership in Fire Safety, Security, and Cybersecurity Award. The CISO of the Year Award went to Harrison Nnaji, Group Chief Information Security Officer at First Bank of Nigeria, while Emirates Safety Laboratory LLC was recognized for their transformative contributions to fire safety in the MENA region.

The Excellence in Fire Safety Award was awarded to Detectortesters for their Testifire XTR2, and the Outstanding Safety Solutions Award went to De Wipe for their decontamination wipes that eliminate harmful toxins from the skin.

Other distinguished wins included Dubai Civil Defense’s Fire Safety Excellence Project – Middle East & Africa for their global fire reduction initiative and Seagate Technology’s Outstanding Commercial Security Solutions Award for their Mozaic 3+ hard drive platform.

The Premier Homeland Security Solutions Award went to Sensortec for their 320MP Panoramic Camera, while Exemplary Perimeter Security Solutions were recognized by FIBER SENSYS INC for their EchoPoint EP9300™ Series long-range intrusion detection sensors.

The Security Project of the Year – Middle East & Africa honored Red Sea Global for their Red Sea and AMAALA Security Interoperability and Resilience project, while the Outstanding Security Team Award was given to the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA).

In the Women Trailblazers in Security and Fire Safety category, Dr. Naseem Rafee, CEO of the Environment, Health, and Safety Agency at Dubai Municipality, was celebrated as one of the leading health and safety experts in the region.

A special Fire Safety Innovation Award was presented to NAFFCO for their Falcon 6 firefighting and rescue vehicle.

The Intersec 2025 Awards were part of the 26th edition of Intersec, the largest edition to date, with over 1,200 exhibitors from 61 countries showcasing cutting-edge advancements in security and safety technologies. With more than 52,000 visitors, Intersec 2025 solidified its position as the world’s premier safety and security platform.
