As urbanisation accelerates and security challenges grow increasingly complex, the UAE is revolutionising security management through unified Command & Control Centres (CCCs). This transformational approach is a central theme at the Security Leader’s Summit during Intersec 2025, hosted at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC).
Traditionally, command centres in key sectors such as policing, border security, customs, and critical infrastructure operated independently, resulting in fragmented responses and inefficiencies. The introduction of the “OneCCC” initiative marks a significant shift, unifying these centres under a single, agile framework to enhance real-time situational awareness, optimise resource allocation, and accelerate incident response times.
Sharang Gupta, Director at PwC Middle East, highlighted the impact of this innovation at the summit: “OneCCC is a game-changer for the UAE, fostering unprecedented collaboration between various security domains. This unified approach ensures a safer environment for everyone while delivering real-time insights and optimising decision-making across critical sectors.”
Unified CCCs have already demonstrated measurable improvements in public safety across the region. Emergency response times have decreased by 20-30%, while monitoring coverage has expanded by 70%, showcasing the effectiveness of integrated security systems.
Gupta also pointed to real-world successes, including a unified CCC that managed public safety at the World Expo, and a cutting-edge centre deployed in a regional giga-city to enhance multi-domain decision-making. He further cited a major sporting event where a state-of-the-art CCC provided 360-degree situational awareness, averting potential crises.
