The event, attended by Egypt’s Minister of Information, Communications and Technology (ICT), Amr Talaat, and Ahmed El Zaher, CEO of the Egyptian Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), marks a pivotal moment for the firm in harnessing top-tier talent in this emerging market.

Deloitte has committed a substantial $30 million investment over the next three years to cultivate local expertise in fields such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business & Information Systems, and Data Engineering. Richard Houston, CEO of Deloitte North and South Europe, and Mutasem Dajani, CEO of Deloitte Middle East, welcomed the official delegation, highlighting the hub’s significance.

Hani Girgis, leader of the Deloitte Innovation Hub, stated, “Our investment reflects our commitment to the Egyptian market and a resounding vote of confidence in its capacity to cultivate world-class talent. The Innovation Hub will enable us to foster and develop local talent, making an impact that matters to Egyptian people and society, while delivering exceptional value to our clients across Europe and the Middle East.”

Since commencing operations in September 2023, the Deloitte Innovation Hub has rapidly expanded to employ over 350 top talents in Egypt, including fresh graduates and experienced professionals. The hub is designed to offer a comprehensive suite of services, including Artificial Intelligence and Data Analysis, Marketing & Commerce, Cloud, Cybersecurity, and Enterprise Resource Planning.

With ambitious expansion plans, Deloitte aims to grow its workforce to 5,000 employees, diversifying its service offerings and enhancing its impact across various business verticals in the region.
