IFS to Acquire Copperleaf, Advancing Enterprise Asset Management with AI

IFS, a leading global provider of cloud and Industrial AI software, has announced a definitive agreement to acquire Copperleaf Technologies Inc. (TSX: CPLF). This strategic acquisition is aimed at strengthening IFS’s capabilities in Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) by integrating Copperleaf’s industry-recognized Advanced Decision Analytics Software into its portfolio.

Copperleaf is renowned for its AI-powered Asset Investment Planning and Management (AIPM) solutions. These tools help organizations make data-driven decisions to maximize the value of their physical assets. Copperleaf’s software is trusted by critical infrastructure sectors including electricity, natural gas, water, energy, pharmaceuticals, and transportation. Currently, its platform supports over two trillion dollars in managed assets for clients such as ONE Gas, Manitoba Hydro, and National Grid.

By incorporating Copperleaf’s capabilities, IFS will be able to deliver a more comprehensive, AI-driven EAM suite. This move underscores IFS’s commitment to leveraging Industrial AI to improve asset lifecycle management, optimize performance, and ensure better return on investment for customers operating in asset-intensive industries.

Mark Moffat, CEO of IFS, shared his perspective on the acquisition:
“This move reinforces IFS’s leadership in Asset and Service Management powered by Industrial AI. Copperleaf’s technology aligns perfectly with our mission to deliver exceptional value and results for our customers.”

Paul Sakrzewski, CEO of Copperleaf, commented on the opportunity ahead:
“Joining IFS marks the next exciting chapter for Copperleaf. Together, we’ll accelerate innovation and expand our ability to deliver advanced asset planning and decision support to a broader global audience.”

Darren Roos, Chair of IFS, added:
“The combination of IFS and Copperleaf brings together two industry leaders. It creates unmatched value for customers and stakeholders across asset-intensive sectors.”

Amos Michelson, outgoing Chair of Copperleaf, also noted:
“This acquisition reflects the incredible dedication and success of the Copperleaf team. As part of IFS, we anticipate new opportunities for growth and innovation.”

The deal is subject to regulatory approvals and standard closing conditions. Once finalized, IFS plans to integrate Copperleaf’s solutions seamlessly into its product offerings. This will enable customers to benefit from even more robust, intelligent tools for managing assets, making strategic investment decisions, and ensuring long-term operational success.
