Intel is solidifying its position in AI PCs and edge computing with the launch of new processors at CES 2025. The company has introduced the Intel® Core™ Ultra 200V series mobile processors with Intel vPro®, designed to enhance business productivity and IT management through AI-driven performance. These processors combine performance, efficiency, and advanced security, offering a seamless Microsoft Copilot+ experience for modern workplaces. Intel also unveiled the Intel® Core™ Ultra 200HX and H series mobile processors, featuring improved Performance-cores and Efficient-cores, integrated neural processing units (NPU) for AI acceleration, and Intel® Arc™ graphics for superior computing experiences.
For mainstream mobile users, the new Intel® Core™ Ultra 200U series mobile processors deliver an optimal balance between power efficiency and performance. Additionally, the Intel Core Ultra 200S series desktop processors have been expanded with 12 new 65-watt and 35-watt options, perfect for mainstream desktop users. Intel’s new processors for edge computing prioritize scalability and performance, especially in AI workloads, with the Intel® Core™ Ultra 9 showing significant improvements in media processing and AI analytics.
Intel also shared updates on its Intel 18A manufacturing process and next-generation processor family. These advancements underscore Intel’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of AI performance and power efficiency.
Michelle Johnston Holthaus, interim co-CEO of Intel, emphasized the breakthrough capabilities of Intel Core Ultra processors, stating, “Intel Core Ultra processors are setting new benchmarks for mobile AI and graphics, demonstrating the power and efficiency of the x86 architecture.” With over 400 AI features and continued product innovation, Intel is poised to shape the future of personal computing, with plans for volume production of its Intel 18A product set for later in 2025.
